With shooting scheduled for the end of January, YSP Media is pleased to officially announce that ‘Home Invasion’ is in production. Set during the UK riots in August 2011, the film is written and will be directed and produced by Christopher Bevan. Originally submitted to the London Screenwriters’ Festival ’4 Days in August’ competition, the short script was longlisted and after delayed filming efforts at the end of 2011, Home Invasion will begin shooting during the final weekend of January 2012. The official synopsis for the film is below:
The long reach of crime invades a home that will never be the same again. With rioting across the UK taking hold, a mother comforts her young daughter as the effects begin to arrive on their doorstep. Amidst the chaos a teenage boy travels home as dawn breaks to face the inevitable consequences of his actions.
We’re delighted to announce that Holly Jacobson, Chris Simpson and Sharon Taylor have joined the cast of Home Invasion and we look forward to working with them. Home Invasion is scheduled for release in May 2012 with plans to send the film on to screenings, festivals and competitions in the following months under discussion.
